This is one of the few remaining c1400 cruck timber frame houses in Nutbourne with a thatched roof and is in a good state of repair with most of its original features intact. Over the centuries it has been altered from one dwelling to two and back to one. at the rear the roof is a "catslide" over the outshot.
The property accomodates a good example of a "working office" that avoids unnecessary travel and the global pollution that arises from it. Thanks to the internet and modern communications this enables the day to day management of a Glass factory several hundred miles away in Lancashire.
