2004 after the renovations and removal of the 1970's modernisation. (date stone added on the west wall)
This building has survived a least two periods of dereliction and been renovated and altered each time. There are signs of a pre-chimney era timber frame 'Hall House' by the greasy smoked roof timbers and this was replaced around 1560 by a large ashlar stone manorial building which had windows blocked up as a result of the window tax, This also became derelict between 1875-1906. and in 1906 the renovations preserved the remaining part as a 2 bedroom cottage. In 1973 this was extended to the east using original stone from the earlier building but sadly modernised internally spoiling or covering up many of the original features. Between 1995 and 2004 most of the modernisation was removed as the modern cements, plaster and dpc's were causing more problems than they were curing. The well was cleaned out and now holds clear sparkling water at about 30'down.
The home has an office where legislation compliance design work is done and International certification arranged for Motor Manufacturers Aston Martin DB7, Saab 900/9000. Renault Trafic Work mostly from home factory visits where necessary.
